Stearns Type III/Level 70 SAR Vests are military-grade PFDs that provide security and comfort for water rescue personnel. These vests are made of heavy-duty nylon with 62 sq.in of 3M Scotchlite SOLAS-grade 6755 reflective panels, fleece lined handwarmer pockets, zippered storage compartments and 2" wide adjustable belts. They also have an attached leg strap, emergency whistle and light loop for flashlight storage.

USCG has changed their labeling from USCG approved Type Codes (Type I through Type V) to USCG/Transport Canada Approved Performance Levels. These new labels are currently being phased in and your new life jacket may have the new or old labels during this period. The new label does not make the old labels obsolete.
