The Garmin GPSMAP 8612xsv Chartplotter / Fishfinder features a 12" full HD in-plane switching touchscreen display for wider viewing angles, superior clarity, and sunlight readability, even with polarized sunglasses. It is pre-loaded with Garmin Navionics+ coastal charts and inland mapping with Auto Guidance+ technology. It has ANT technology and built-in Wi-Fi that will pair with the free ActiveCaptain app on a smartphone or tablet for access to OneChart, smart notifications and community data. This unit will connect to an engine to show RPMs, fuel flow, temperature and other engine information, it also provides at a glance sailing data, GPX waypoints transfer capabilities, Sailassist, simplified SOS calling, Quickdraw Contours and enhanced auto guidance. This device ahs built-in support for sonar capabilities, including dual-channel 1 kW traditional CHIRP, CHIRP ClearVu, and CHIRP SideVu scanning sonars plus built-in support for Ultra High-Definition scanning.
