The Garmin inReach Mini Satellite Communicator is a lightweight and compact satellite communicator that enables two-way text messaging via 100% global Iridium satellite network, tracks and shares the journey and can trigger an SOS alert to contact the GEOS 24/7 emergency response team. It allows other people to track and follow the device using the online MapShare portal and can be paired with mobile devices with the Earthmap app for access to downloadable maps, US NOAA charts, aerial imagery and more. Other features include unlimited cloud storage, trip planning, impact resistant housing and an internal, rechargeable lithium battery. Satellite subscription required (not included).
