Freeman Model 1524 Oval Liftout Hatch Unit has either an aluminum or a steel ring. The 15" x 24"opening is ideal for man-hole size access of all types, especially when deck framing restricts cutout dimensions. It has a stainless steel handle and round bar shaft for trouble free operation. The sealing pressure requirements for Freeman hatches ensure proper sealing tension with the required number of uniformly spaced dogs which is superior to the "yoke" or "strongback" type of seals that can cause cover distortion sealing problems.
