Freeman Model 20" Round Liftout Hatch Unit with either aluminum or steel ring, has a stainless steel handle & round bar shaft for trouble free operation which is ideal for the round, clear opening, manhole-sized hatches, large enough for a person to pass through, that can also be used for storage access, fish sorting & many other access applications. The sealing pressure requirements for Freeman hatches ensure proper sealing tension with the required number of uniformly spaced dogs which is superior to the "yoke" or "strongback" type of seals that can cause cover distortion sealing problems.
