West Coast Wire Quickway Knobs are designed to act like a stopper knot on a wire rope. First, the cylinder is slid onto bare wire then the strands are separated to slide over the bronze wedges. The cylinder is then moved back over the wedges to cinch the strands tight. These knobs can be used in logging with chokers or in operations where the cable is threaded onto the reel of a winch.
