Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is for permanent locking and sealing threaded fasteners and can only be removed when parts are heated to 500°F. It protects threads from rust, corrosion, loosening and vibration damage. It cures when deprived of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It can be used on metal fasteners up to 1" in diameter.
