Fiberlay Chopped Strand Mats are made from glass fibers in a random pattern held together with an emulsion binding agent. They are ideal for stiffening when used with core materials or thicker laminates; when used alone they have a low tensile strength. They are easy to wet and can be used with woven roving to improve glass/resin ratio and adhesion.
