Shimano Curado M Baitcasting Reels are compact, palm-friendly, ergonomic reels that features a thin MagnumLite (MGL) III Spool that offers a lower start up inertia and provides excellent casting distance. It has SilentTune Technology that reduces spool vibration on the cast, and SVS Infinity that allows for fine adjustments for consistent spool control and brake force adjustments when faced with demanding conditions or switching between baits. It has a Hagane Body that provides high rigidity to eliminate flex and increase cranking power, as well as CI4+ technical carbon material for additional stiffness.

This reel also has X-Ship for gear durability and longer casts; Super Free Spool with Shimano Stable Spool Design for rotational smoothness; S A-RB ball bearings; and Cross Carbon Drag with up to 13 lbs. of max drag. It is also equipped with Super Free Spool (SFS) to eliminate friction on the spool shaft during the cast and MicroModule Gear system to produce a smooth retrieve by using smaller teeth to increase contact points between the drive gear and pinion gear.
