GLOBALFIX V4 EPIRB CAT I & II
ACR GlobalFix V4 MHz Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB) feature an internal GPS that accurately and quickly fixes the position and relays it to a worldwide network of Search and Rescue satellites. If GPS data is not available, the unit's position can be triangulated with orbiting Cospas-Sarsat satellites using the 406 MHz signal. They are also equipped with a 121.5 MHz homing signal to aid searchers. The units have 2 functional self-tests to monitor the beacon's transmission, power, battery and GPS acquisition. They activate when out of its bracket and wet, or manually in or out of the bracket. The battery pack is user-replaceable and the keypad is equipped with a protective cover to prevent false activation. Available in Category I and II models.
