Stearns Merchant Mate I Life Vests are designed to keep most unconscious wearers face-up. They are reversible for quick and simple deployment and feature SOLAS-grade reflective tape, waist and leg strap, and heavy duty stainless steel hardware.

USCG has changed their labeling from USCG approved Type Codes (Type I through Type V) to USCG/Transport Canada Approved Performance Levels. These new labels are currently being phased in and your new life jacket may have the new or old labels during this period. The new label does not make the old labels obsolete.
