The Makita 8 Amp AVT SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer & 4-1/2" Angle Grinder Combo includes a rotary hammer that is equipped with Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) that features an internal counterbalanced system for less vibration. It has an integrated damper spring at the base of the impact bolt to absorb impact vibrations and a torque-limiting clutch that prevents gear damage by automatically disengaging gears if the bit binds. The rotary hammer has "no hammering when idling" function and 3 modes: "Rotation Only", "Hammering with Rotation" and "Chipping Only". It also features sequential impact timing that delivers timed hammering during rotation to minimize overlapping bit impacts for faster drilling.
