The Dexter-Russell 10" Smooth Butcher Steel hones a blade to maintain the edge between sharpenings. It is made of high-carbon file steel with a smooth surface that is designed to realign blades. The steel is nickel plated and magnetized to capture small pieces of metal that comes off the blade during sharpening. This butcher steel also has a easy-to-clean polypropylene handle that is textured for a firm grip and has a protective finger guard for safety. Made in the USA.
