Penn Squall II Level Drag Reels are constructed with lightweight graphic frame and sideplates with a forged and machined aluminum spool and high-strength marine grade bronze main and pinion gear. They have a ratcheted drag lever that prevents "drag creep" and the lever drag does not protrude above the frame of the reel, preventing the line from looping over and getting hung up on the lever. These reels have Dura-Drag washers that reduce hesitation, as well as an instant anti-reverse bearing with silent back up ratchet. The 50 size model has switchblade harness lugs.
